Mark's Story

Mark Stevenson began his career in the graphics industry way back in 1978, working for a Graphic Design and Typesetting company in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was employed as a Film Make-up Artist which entailed cutting out and stripping in small pieces of film to make corrections to typeset output. How times have changed! He progressed into the design studio where he became a Finished Artist.

After 10 years, Mark decided to make a move across the other side of the world, to Wollongong, Australia. He soon picked up some work in Sydney with a multi-lingual publisher, producing brochures and leaflets in 16 languages. After a couple of years he managed to find a job closer to home, in Figtree where he worked as a Finished Artist for over 6 years for a design and marketing company.

Mark then freelanced for another couple of years before landing a job in the Marketing department of a Wollongong based Financial Services business. Mark soon became the Marketing Services Manager and was responsible for producing all of the marketing and product material for the national organisation. Mark continued his role through many company takeovers and finally left the organisation after 14 years. Throughout this time he maintained his hands-on approach to his job and had a reputation of always being able to ‘get the job done’.

Mark bought existing business, Promote Yourself Products (PYP) in October 2015 which had been in business since 2003. He is able to draw on his graphics, managerial and logistics background to ensure that you will be in good hands should you decide to give him a go. PYP is set up as a distributor of any promotional products for any business.
